Jennifer Lopez has reportedly had to stop filming for her new movie ‘The Mother’ due to a number of positive Covid cases on the set.

Jennifer Lopez’s Film ‘The Mother’ Has Been Halted Following Positive Covid Cases On The Set

The film was set to come out this year, which is based on an assassin that has no choice but to come out of hiding in order to protect her daughter who is being targeted.

Naturally, this news is a blow as it is most likely going to push back the release date with a possible suggestion that it may not come out this year.

Nevertheless, that does not mean that Jennifer does not have things to keep her occupied. Her other film entitled ‘Marry Me’ is set to come out next month which would mark the actor’s first significant project of 2022.

But given the rise of the Omicron variant, as shown by the increasing number of cases, there are doubts about whether her film will have a fair reflection by virtue of possible restrictions on cinema-goers.

But it is not just the film industry that has taken a hit. The same could be said of the music business too. Just recently, the Grammy awards announced that they would be postponing their event in light of the pandemic.

And given that Jennifer did not go to the awards ceremony last year, this was obviously a blow to hear given she would most likely have gone this time round.

In an official statement, a representative for the Grammys stated the following: “Given the uncertainty surrounding the Omicron variant, holding the show on Jan. 31 simply contains too many risks.

“We look forward to celebrating music’s biggest night on a future date, which will be announced soon.”

Hopefully, for everyone involved, Jennifer and the crew managed to make a full recovery so that they can continue to do what they had set out to do.

And with the pandemic not going away anytime soon, the cinema industry is one of the areas in which people are looking towards as a way of coping with the chaos in the world that is happening now. So what do you think?
