While they have certainly had a lot of ups and downs throughout the years, Jennifer Garner can tell that Ben Affleck is very happy in his new relationship with Jennifer Lopez and that’s why she doesn’t want to get in the way.
Seeing how things are also very good between Garner and Affleck right now as they’ve managed to co-parent their three children without any drama, the Hollywood actress is keeping her distance, but also being respectful of her ex-husband’s new relationship with his ex. Here’s what you need to know.
Garner, who married Affleck shortly after he and Lopez ended their own engagement in 2004, apparently “can tell that Ben is happy,” according to a source close to the situation.

Garner and Affleck share three children together – Violet, 15, Seraphina, 12, and Samuel, 9. Lopez, meanwhile, has 13-year-old twins, Emme and Max, that she shares with her ex-husband Marc Anthony.
“J.Lo and Ben’s families are getting along great and they are making an effort to take things slow when it comes to their kids,” ET’s source says. “[J.Lo] is so happy with Ben.
He is so laid-back and chill and he makes her laugh nonstop. He is caring, sweet and supportive of her, but not competitive with her when it comes to their careers and fame.”
The tipster also added that Lopez brought Affleck along to the Hamptons for the 4th of July weekend because she’s “always loved” the area and simply can’t get enough of him and their new romance.
“Ben just gets her and it’s nice and fun when they’re together,” adds the source. “They have so much in common and it’s like they never ended their relationship years ago. They have picked up right where they left off.”
