The pair had initially hooked up together in 2018, just after Jennifer had completely cut ties with Ben Affleck. But at the time, there were worries that Jennifer was rushing into things all a bit too soon. And so it showed, as the pair would go on to split after only six months of hanging out. The time to rekindle a relationship seems to be now, though.
A source said: “Jen and John are back on. It started up a few weeks ago.” When we look beyond the surface, Jennifer and John have many things in common. They both have been through the heartache of having their first marriage breakdown. Jennifer knows this, as shown by her split from Ben, while John separated from his ex-wife Caroline Campbell.
Not only that, both of them are well aware of raising kids in the aftermath of a split. And these mutual struggles have drawn them closer together. The source added: “John and Jen are in similar places in their lives and can relate to raising kids after a divorce. They’re on the same page and understand where things stand.”
This begs the question, why did they decide to part ways in the first place? They clearly have more things in common than those which divide them. Well, it was a case of taking too much on in a very short space of time. As Jennifer had just gotten over Ben, she was in no position to commit long-term. Certainly not, when there was the prospect of marriage on the cards.
A previous source revealed: “He was ready for marriage, and she just couldn’t commit. They parted on very amicable terms.” The logical conclusion is that Jennifer has now healed and would be open to tying the knot. Her relationship with her kids and Ben could not be going any better. All the pieces, for a wedding, are in place. The only question remaining from the fans is will it happen?
