It looks like Ross and Rachel really never ‘did it.’ Jennifer Aniston says that she would have been very proud to admit that she “banged” her co-star David Schwimmer if it happened.
Unfortunately for the two parties involved, it never did. But both Aniston and Schwimmer did admit that they both had crushes on each other during the first season of Friends back in 1994 but that their relationship never materialized beyond their friendship. Here’s what you need to know.
Speaking to Howard Stern on his Sirius XM show this week, Aniston spilled some tea and then more. Not only did she say that she’s still on friendly terms with her ex-husband Brad Pitt, but she also admitted that there was some potential of a romance between her and Schwimmer, but it never happened.

She said, “We were in relationships and it was always never the right time and it wouldn’t have worked. The beauty of that was that whatever feelings we had we just literally channeled everything into Ross and Rachel and I think that’s maybe why it resonated the way it did.”
Of course, Stern kept pressing Aniston to reveal more information and why she didn’t “bang” Schwimmer. The actress says that while she certainly found him very attractive, it all just boiled to bad timing. Aniston was joined by her Friends co-stars Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow for the interview.
“He was lovely, David was great,” Aniston replied. “But no, we never, on my life [got together]. And Courteney and Lisa would know if it did because they would’ve heard about it. They can vouch for me,” she added, as Cox piped up and added that it was “true.”
“Howard’s not going to believe me,” Aniston then replied. “No, I would proudly say I banged Schwimmer if that happened. But no.”
