‘Teen Mom’ spoilers find Jenelle Evans expected Teen Mom 2 to tank after she was fired from the show in May of 2019. But much to her chagrin, the MTV reality show continues to chug along.
Initially ratings did drop after Evans, 29, was let go from the MTV series when her husband, David Eason, shot and killed their family dog.
A year earlier MTV had cut ties with 32 year old Eason after he’d tweeted a series of homophobic comments. However, when season 10 premiered in October of 2020, Teen Mom 2 led the reality TV ratings.

“It’s just hard to be part of something when people replace you,” the North Carolina native told Us Weekly. “You were the original one that helped start that show, and it’s hard to be let go of something that you’ve put so much work into.”
She admits her jealousy had her unfollowing cast member Briana DeJesus , the newest Teen Mom 2 cast member, on Instagram. “I unfollowed [Briana] recently because seeing her film with the crew makes me upset.”
The mom of 3, however, is being diplomatic these days about the split, claiming she respects the show’s decision and has nothing but love for MTV. Sounds a little out of character for the Jenelle we’ve all watched on our screens since 2010 when she starred in season 2 of MTV’s 16 & Pregnant.
Jenelle was widely known for her poor decisions, bad mothering and drawn out tantrums and screaming matches, often with her mother, Barbara Evans. Jenelle has even found herself in physical fights with ex-boyfriends and friends.
Evans is currently doing the rounds, promoting her new podcast GirlS**t. The podcast won’t be following her story post MTV dumping- Jenelle has taken care of keeping fans and critics up to date with YouTube videos.
“Basically, it’s [GirlS**t] going to be a girls group podcast. We got influencers from all different platforms— TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, you name it. I think it’s gonna be really fun,” Jenelle explained. She went on to give the very detailed description of different hosts who will interview “popular TikTokers and stuff.”
It seems Jenelle has figured out a way to shirk the title of worlds most reviled reality star by having 90 Day Fiance’s Deavan Clegg join on to the podcast. It’s unclear of her role but mom of 2 Deavan has been photographed with Jenelle for promotional material.
