Given that owner Dan Snyder wants to sell the NFL franchise, two of America’s richest men, Jeff Bezos and Jay-Z, are interested in purchasing the Washington Commanders, insiders told TMZ Sports. Also, a conversation between the guys is reportedly on the table.

The team released a statement on Wednesday revealing Snyder hired a large bank to look into the possibility of selling the team, but made it plain he hadn’t yet made a decision.

Nevertheless, the decision gave optimism to throngs of Washington football fans who had long wanted Snyder would sell amid controversy after controversy and unending loss. According to reports, Jay, who has a net worth of $1.3 billion, is very interested in buying the team, which Forbes estimates to be worth $5.6 billion this summer.

We are informed that despite the rap legend’s immense wealth, he would seek out a strategic partner. Bezos, one of the richest individuals in the world with a net worth of $144 billion, is also interested in the squad. Bezos is connected to the region because he owns the Washington Post. The company Prime Video, which is owned by Amazon as well, just signed a multi-year, multi-million dollar deal to broadcast Thursday Night Football.

The NFL and Jay-Z do business together. 2019 saw the establishment of a cooperation agreement that handed Hov control over the halftime show and social justice campaigns. The New Jersey/Brooklyn Nets, an NBA franchise, were also once under his ownership. before being forced to sell because of a possible conflict of interest when he founded his sports and marketing firm, Roc Nation Sports.

Numerous other people, like Byron Allen and Robert Griffin III, have also shown interest in the group. There are plenty of potential suitors, but it would be extremely difficult to surpass Bezos and Jay-Z.

What do you think? Would they make the franchise better or would it just be a distraction to the players? Let us know in the comments below.
