Javier Bardem may be known as one of the biggest actors in Hollywood, but he did do something else entirely different at one point.
Javier Bardem Opens Up On Working As A Stripper But Fans Were Not Impressed-‘Poor Customers’
During the course of his appearance on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ the actor expanded on how he performed as a stripper. While that was a shock to the fans in and of itself, it is important to bear in mind that this was only for a short time.
Not only that, but he was doing it as a favour for his friend. In an episode of the show, he said: “There is a time [as a stripper] when I was 20, believe it or not. And I was stepping out of a cake for a [friend’s fiancée].”
This begs the question, how did the performance go down? Well, better than could be expected for the following reasons. First of all, by all accounts, there were no complaints by anyone at the party.
Secondly, which is of a more important note, the actor admitted that he was offered the chance to do it again. He added: “I did [his] routine again on the disco dance floor…And the owner of the disco said, ‘Will you do that every Friday?’ And I said, ‘Yeah, of course!’ because I was drunk.
“Then they hired me, and I had to perform the next Friday.” Luckily, for the fans, the star decided to put those days behind him and focus on his acting. That was the best decision he could have made, given the success he has had. After all, he even appeared in a James Bond movie (Skyfall).
The response online was one of ridicule. This was on the basis that the actor had apparently brought his mom and sister with him for moral support during the routine. In addition, it is safe to say that the fans could not picture him doing this. One person wrote: “Poor customers.”
Javier made the right decision to go into acting and after the movies he has managed to do, he will not be regretting it one bit. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this?
