Jana Kramer has opened up on how she almost asked Mike Caussin to come back immediately after she served her divorce papers.
Jana Kramer Almost Asked Mike Caussin To Return Despite Her Filing For Divorce
The star had cut ties with Mike after his continual acts of unfaithfulness. While Jana knew in her heart it was the right thing to do, she had become so used to Mike that she almost second-guessed herself. And the feelings did go very deep, as she likened their relationship to a drug. In an appearance on her Whine Down podcast, she said: “The night that Mike got served.
“It was literally like a drug… I wanted him so badly to come in that room and hold me and love me and tell me he’s sorry and give me that hit. I needed it so bad.” Things were primarily difficult because of the couple’s two kids: Jolie and Jace. Jana had a desire to keep the family unit together at all costs, even at the expense of her own happiness.
But this toxic environment only got worse, as Mike’s sex addiction began to get out of control. He cheated on further women, and his problems even impacted Jana- who had to go to see a therapist. That has left Jana with some deep troubles. She added: “That drug and that hit, having that codependency and the trauma bond, it can mess you up so bad.”
Things became so surreal that Jana admitted it did not feel real. She opened up on the actual signing of the papers, as she walked into the lawyer’s office, questioning what was happening. But she has now drawn a line in the sand and recognised that she could not live in the past. And in keeping with that, she was spotted on a girl’s trip to Miami.
In the picture here, we can see Jana enjoying her time on a yacht without a care in the world. And with no sight of Mike anywhere near her, it showed she could be happy. That is what she intends to do. She continued: “From here on out, I’m going to stop with the why and the how’s because now I have to move on.”
