According to TMZ.com, the offices of Alex Weingarten, attorney for Jamie Spears have requested that Britney Spears be fully deposed by them. “We write to advise that we intend to depose your client and would like to discuss a mutually agreeable date to conduct the deposition.
Of course, we will also discuss scheduling Mr. Spears deposition with you and work with you to find a mutually agreeable date for that to proceed as well.” We’re glad that they’re at least deposing both clients and not just Britney but if they schedule a deposition, will Jamie Spears even show up?
Jamie Spears Wants Britney Spears Fully Deposed By The Court
Because he has not in the past. There have been depositions that have been attempted to be scheduled and Jamie Spears won’t show up to them. So unless they come to get him in a cop car and force his hand it somehow looks doubtful that he’ll show up to this one either.
Meanwhile, here’s hoping that Jamie Spears’ legal team doesn’t use this opportunity to gaslight and terrify Britney because it really does seem like an intimidation tactic on their part.
The conservatorship has been dissolved and all of the paperwork involving money has been filed so aside from criminal proceedings we truly don’t know why they would need to talk to Britney. It seems that they have enough evidence as per her testimony back in July of 2021 in order to be able to piece together what happened.
We’re hoping for her sake that she has at least one person with her the day that she has to attend this deposition because the conservatorship may be over but reliving those details is going to be hard for her. We wish her strength.
Seems like it would be best if Jamie Spears got deposed first, at least it would be better on Britney emotionally because then she would be the last person that the lawyers had to talk to. Though, to be honest, sometimes legal proceedings are tricky things and things don’t always work in the way that they should.
However with this case, it just seems like Britney has been through enough and this is overkill, especially since Weingarten has already admitted in open court that the conservatorship was only in place to control how Britney spent her money in the first place. Give ’em hell, Britney! Stay tuned!
