James Charles keeps teasing launching a makeup brand. Originally he gave the launch date as around Christmas of 2022, but when asked about it by a follower on Instagram he responded with this, “My goal was holiday of this year but unfortunately it’s not gonna happen because I’m a perfectionist and didn’t get my formula approved in time.
My lab was ready to kill me but it’s officially done now so we’re full steam ahead which is amazing. Lots of lessons learned for future launches!! I’m not happy about it BUT I’d rather take my time and make sure everything is perfect and honestly the first launch makes more sense for spring anyway.”
James Charles regrets not launching his makeup line sooner!
James has also been asking his followers for their opinion on potential new products. For instance, there was a blush that he tested out on his second TikTok channel (@JCharlesmakeup ) where he personally thought the blush was way too pigmented where he tested it against a Kylie Jenner blush.
However, his followers surprised him and sent him lots of comments saying that they loved how pigmented the blush was, so James decided not to change the blush after all and sent off his final approval due to the opinion of his followers. Sadly, this blush will not be included in the first launch. That’s not the only product that he is considering opinions from followers on, there was also some makeup brushes and a mascara. (Will it give L’Oreal a run for their money? We’ll see.)
James Charles has said in the past that he has regrets over not releasing the line sooner, saying perhaps if he had, that he would have perhaps been in the same tax bracket as Kylie Jenner by now, but hey, hindsight is 20/20. We all have that one opportunity that got away.
Looks like this opportunity didn’t quite manage to get away from James because he seems to be taking advantage of it now. But in a recent YouTube video he said that his makeup brand will be launched in “the future” but did not specifically state spring of 2023. So we’ll see if this launch date comes and goes as well.
