Aspiring to be a drug dealer isn’t something one would strive for, but in her new book, “Worthy,” Jada Pinkett Smith talks about wanting to be a teenage “Queenpin” and a major player in the crack game.

See, Jada grew up in a rough area of Baltimore in the 1980’s. According to Jada, that environment made it impossible not to be around drugs as a user, a seller, or an innocent bystander.

Her parents were drug addicts, or as Jada refers to them, high-functioning heroin addicts.” When she discovered how much money she could make as a drug dealer, she wanted to snatch up a piece of the pie.

Jada Was Attracted to the Seedy World of Drug Dealing

She paints a much prettier picture,

“Growing up, the drug dealers were the ones with affluence. That’s what we readily saw as a success. We didn’t have the things that we should have. The home we lived in was not taken care of.”

Jada admitted her fascination with the seedy world of dealing drugs.

“I was caught up with some high rollers at the time. That’s a whole ‘nother Jada.’ A Jada would chase somebody down the alley with a switchblade because they stole $700. Or the Jada that would sell crack cocaine get set up, and two dudes come in with a nine-millimeter, and she gets a gun pointed to her head.”

She said she led a double life. She was an outstanding student and excelled academically, yet she was a big bad drug dealer in her other life.

“When you aren’t a priority of your parents, you don’t know how to be a priority to yourself. My parents were addicted to drugs,”

    She said, expecting sympathy.

Jada said she wanted to be able to be responsible for herself in case her mother was in prison or overdosed. The drug dealers she was in contact with had the luxury and self-sufficiency she craved.

She also wanted to experience financial freedom on her terms and not have to depend on a man later in life. She says she did it to survive.

Jada Pinkett Smith’s “Soulmate” Tupac Shakur

Ms. Smith is also talking an awful lot about her friendship with Tupac Shakur recently and how he also suffered from alopecia.

Jada says she was dealing crack when she met her “soulmate,” Tupac Shakur. She said, “As I was coming out of the life, he was coming more into the life,” referring to her knowledge of Tupac dealing drugs. Truthfully, this revelation is not new news.

    jada and tupac

Jada’s been talking about her connection to Tupac and dealing drugs for years. In her book, she talks about her falling out with Tupac after he proposed to her.

Some people think Jada opening up like this is brave, and she is a strong woman.

The constant revelation of Jada’s “shocking truths” is a desperate bid for attention. Jada joked with People magazine that her life story could become a movie. Is that a hint, Jada?

Currently, Jada is on a publicity tour discussing the major “bombshells” she will reveal in her upcoming book. Jada’s “Worthy” memoir hits shelves tomorrow, October 17th, 2023.
