Jack Osbourne has let everyone know that his substance abuse issues are entirely behind him, as he recently celebrated being 18-years sober.

Jack Osbourne Celebrates 18 Years Of Being Sober

Jack’s issues started in his youth when he became addicted to OxyContin. This was compounded by the fame he experienced, give he was the son Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne. Those struggles, although easier, still haunt him today. In a post to his fans on Instagram, he said: “It’s not that it gets easier or harder, it’s just that its life on life’s terms.

“If anyone is trying to get sober, know that it is possible if you are willing to do the work. Sending lots of love to my people who have been on this journey with me.” But for all the happiness that Jack may be going through, he still has to deal with some demons within his family. His sister Kelly Osbourne recently had a relapse after staying sober for four years.

Naturally, that may start to have an impact on Jack. In a post to her fans on Instagram, Kelly remained tightlipped about her state of mind. She stated: “This is a little hard for me to talk about, but I’ve always promised you that I will always be honest with you about where I’m at and what’s going on in my road to recovery.” While Kelly’s addiction may have been out of the blue, Jack admitted that he was always susceptible to this.

Not only because of the life he was living but also due to his personality. He admitted to having an impulsive nature that had often got the better of his moral judgement. In a previous interview with Variety, he said: “I think it was just a matter of time…Whether I’d never touched a drink until the age of 50, I still think the end result would have been the same.

“I’m one of those people that have an addictive personality, and I like things that change the way I feel.” Let us hope that Jack can continue to remain on the straight and narrow. As for Kelly, her fans will be there every step of the way to support her during this challenging period.
