The legal showdown between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni is intensifying, as the acclaimed actress prepares to undergo a formal deposition next Thursday. Attorneys representing Baldoni, the actor-director, are set to question Lively under oath, marking a significant development in the ongoing case.
According to court documents recently filed, the deposition date surfaced in a motion submitted by legal counsel for two publicists employed by Baldoni. The motion — which requested a one-week extension to turn over documents — included an email confirming Lively’s deposition.

The lawsuit, which has gained significant public attention, stems from serious allegations made by Lively, 37, who claims that Baldoni, 41, sexually harassed her on the set of their 2024 film It Ends With Us. The suit also accuses Baldoni’s publicists of launching a coordinated smear campaign in an attempt to damage her reputation following the alleged incident.
Neither Lively nor Baldoni has publicly commented on the latest development, and their representatives have yet to respond to media inquiries.
Bryan Freedman, Baldoni’s attorney, spoke candidly about the upcoming deposition. “She will have to answer under penalty of perjury,” Freedman told TMZ. “We have all the footage, the emails, the messages — we’ll see how her testimony holds up against the actual evidence.”
While Baldoni has vehemently denied the allegations, he retaliated with a countersuit against Lively and her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds, accusing them of defamation and attempted extortion. However, that countersuit was dismissed by a judge just last month.
Both Lively and Baldoni are expected to take the stand when the case goes to trial in March 2026.
As the legal battle continues to unfold, the once-friendly co-stars find themselves at the center of a high-profile Hollywood controversy — one that shows no signs of slowing down.
