SBS has unveiled the first teaser for its upcoming fantasy rom-com, “Human from Today,” starring Kim Hye Yoon and Lomon. The teaser offers a glimpse into the chaotic and heartwarming journey of Eun Ho, a gumiho (nine-tailed fox) who unexpectedly finds herself thrust into the human world.

In a refreshing twist on traditional gumiho folklore, Kim Hye Yoon portrays Eun Ho as a carefree and unconventional spirit. Unlike the mythical creatures of legend who yearn to become human, Eun Ho actively avoids good deeds, fearing that accumulating too much positive karma will inadvertently transform her into a human, a fate she wishes to avoid.

“Living life as a gumiho means enjoying only the fun parts of [human] life, without any of the suffering,” Eun Ho declares, highlighting her desire for freedom and independence.

However, Eun Ho‘s idyllic existence is disrupted when she encounters Kang Si Yeol, a narcissistic soccer star played by Lomon. Their initial interactions are marked by playful banter and mutual attraction. Eun Ho, with her characteristic wit, playfully accuses Kang Si Yeol of flirting, while he vehemently denies her claims.

The teaser hints at an unexpected turn of events, as Eun Ho is warned of an impending transformation. “Eventually, a moment will come when you have to make a choice. You’ll have to decide whether to become human or disappear forever,” a mysterious voice warns. This impending change forces Eun Ho to confront her fears and re-evaluate her relationship with the human world.

The teaser concludes with a humorous twist, as Eun Ho angrily protests against her new human identity, rejecting the name “Ok Soon” that has been assigned to her.

“Human from Today” promises to be a unique and captivating blend of fantasy, romance, and comedy. With its intriguing premise and the charismatic performances of Kim Hye Yoon and Lomon, this drama is sure to captivate audiences when it premieres.
