Paris Hilton has spoken about how a prior photoshop picture of her went viral and became an internet sensation.

The picture, in question, showed Paris allegedly wearing a t-shirt with the slogan ‘Stop being poor.’ While Paris is certainly not in desperate need of cash, she is not the type of person to mock other people over their lack of wealth. In an appearance on her This Is Paris podcast, she revealed how she suffered from anxiety over the public’s perception to the photo.
She said: “I definitely had a moment of insecurity… I would never want to offend anyone and telling people to stop being poor… It was really hard for me to have people thinking.” The picture began to gain traction after an artist, by the name of Jubilee, shared the image through a post on Tumbler. The original picture involved Paris wearing a t-shirt with the slogan ‘Stop being desperate.’
Not thinking that anything could happen, Jubilee went ahead with the photo only for major media outlets to pick it up. The consequences have been far and wide. She added: “That shirt’s taken on a life of it’s own — and it didn’t even exist. People think that I would speak like that…It’s something that has been annoying for a long time.”
Having said all that, a significant amount of time has passed since the initial ordeal. Paris and Jubilee have exchanged social media messages. The duo managed to hash things out for the better. Things were made even more memorable as Jubilee was invited to be on the show alongside Paris. And this is what she had to say about it all.
She commented: “I didn’t want anyone to think it was real…I definitely never meant any ill will or anything like that, and I’m sorry it caused you stress cause you thought it was the paparazzi.” Jubilee, for her part, was fairly young when the moment happened.
That is not to say that her actions were excusable, but rather it does add some much-needed context to the whole issue. She noted: “[I] was just some dumb kid with photoshop.”
