Hilaria Baldwin, the spouse of Alec Baldwin, has made a statement after her husband was charged with involuntary manslaughter due to the death of “Rust” cinematographer Halyna Hutchins during a filming session.

At the time of the tragedy, the 42-year-old cinematographer was on the set of the Western movie “Rust” in New Mexico, when a weapon provided to Alec during a scene rehearsal was filled with real bullets. Alec has denied that he pulled the trigger of the gun that caused Hutchins’ death.
Joel Souza, the director of the movie, was also badly hurt but he remained alive. If convicted, Baldwin could face an 18-month sentence and a fine of five thousand dollars. And with so much uncertainty out there, it is fair to say that Hilaria has become somewhat overwhelmed.
In her comments, she thanked those who supported her. She said: “It’s been an emotional time for my family. And I do so want to express to you how grateful I am for your support and your kindness and your reason. Quite honestly, without it, we would crumble.
“So, thank you so much for being our rock right now because I don’t feel so strong.” This was not the only hurdle, though. In February 2022, Hutchins’ family initiated a legal action alleging wrongful death against Alec and other participants of the movie’s production.
Alec, who is an actor in and producer of the film, was included in the complaint. In October, the husband of the former cinematographer, Matthew Hutchins, declared that the civil lawsuit had been settled. And yet, Hilaira acknowledged that this was having an impact on her children.
Her following comments confirmed as much: “Kids are sponges, and certain conversations are not always age-appropriate. We cannot deny that they don’t feel the energy and pick up on certain things in the family and at home.”
