When Meghan Markle came onto the scene, everyone was curious to see who this little-known Hollywood and television actress was that just happened to steal the heart of one of the most eligible bachelors in the world.
After a well-publicized courtship followed by a well-publicized engagement and of course royal wedding, Meghan Markle has managed to become a household name thanks to the fact that she’s Prince Harry’s wife.
And while a lot of people were hoping that Meghan would become best friends with her sister-in-law Kate Middleton, that didn’t happen. Here’s what Kate Middleton really thinks of Meghan Markle.

When Meghan met Harry, she was already a successful Hollywood actress in her own right. She made her own money and her own decisions. But that all changed the moment she became a member of the royal family.
She was forced to shut down her blog, The Tig, and was discouraged from sharing her personal opinions with the public. Meghan was also under the watchful eye of her royal handlers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, which was something she certainly wasn’t used to.
While Harry and Meghan’s relationship went from 0 to 60 right away, Kate Middleton had a solid decade to prepare for the royal lifestyle she’s living now.
That’s because Prince William took his time in making sure that Kate was indeed the right girl for him, and of course the right woman for the job seeing how he will one day become the King of England.
Even though William and Kate did break up several times during their ten-year relationship, the college sweethearts did get married in 2011 with very little royal drama ever since.
So, what does Kate Middleton really think of Meghan Markle? For one, they come from totally different backgrounds. The Duchess of Cambridge is used to following the rules while Meghan breaks them if they don’t comply with her thoughts or ideas.
Kate would never dare to do anything like show public displays of affection with her husband William, break royal protocols or even wear black nail polish like Meghan has. Kate is a traditionalist while Meghan likes to see herself as a progressive trailblazer.
Kate Middleton respects who Meghan Markle is, but she doesn’t necessarily understand why she says or does some of the things she’s done.
Kate also probably doesn’t understand why Meghan Markle signed up to be a member of the royal family just to cut the cord on her relationship with them less than two years later.
Didn’t she realize what she was getting into, or was this all part of Meghan’s plan from the beginning? Either way, there’s a very good chance that while Kate doesn’t necessarily see eye-to-eye with her sister-in-law, she’s certainly not going to blink whenever she’s around her.
