Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have severed relations with the people in charge of Archewell’s most significant ventures in 2022.
Harry And Meghan Get Rid Of Several Archwell Personnel-‘Give Them A Raise, Don’t Boot Them Out’
As reported by Variety on Friday, 27th January 2023, the couple dispensed with the services of the Oscar-winning producer Ben Browning, who had responsibility for the couple’s widely viewed Netflix docuseries, “Harry & Meghan.”
The deal to keep him at the foundation was set to expire, however, it has not been stated why he was not kept on. At the same time, Fara Taylor, the head of the marketing for the Netflix docuseries “Harry & Meghan,” Markle’s podcast “Archetypes,” and Harry’s book “Spare,” is scheduled to leave her position too.
In an official statement on behalf of the Sussexes, their secretary Ashley Hanson said the following: “They played a critical role in helping to tell the stories of the Duke and Duchess thus far and the couple remain hugely grateful for their support on those vital ‘look back’ projects, as they now look forward.”
With that being said, there are a few things that could explain this move. First of all, the couple may be trying to extend their brand across the globe, which requires something new in order to distance themselves from the firm.
Secondly, it may have also been due to the fact that the Sussexes were not happy with their performances. After all, their projects did receive a lot of backlash, even if it was arguably expected.
The fans on social media had a lot say about the matter. A certain subset of people questioned the cut throat nature of the couple in that they had disposed of the services of those that had been crucial to their projects.
One person wrote: “When you have executives that produce highly successful projects, you give them a raise, you don’t boot them out.” So will this change benefit Archwell? Watch this space.
