Hailey Baldwin Bieber says the reason why she quit Twitter is because the thought of just opening up the app gives her bad anxiety. In fact, Justin Bieber’s wife is the second big name in recent weeks to quit the social media app because of either bullying or mental health issues. Here’s what you need to know.
Speaking to Dr. Jessica Clemons in a new video on her YouTube Channel, Hailey said, “The thought of even opening the app gives me such bad anxiety that I feel like I’m gonna throw up.”
She also said that each and every time she opened the Twitter app, she was met with a rather toxic environment, especially with all of her internet trolls.

“I think when you’re going through a situation where you just have so many people hounding you with the same thing over and over and over again, it starts to mess with your mind and then you start to question everything and you’re like, ‘Is there something that I’m not seeing that they see?'” Baldwin said.
In order to save her own mental health, Hailey Baldwin says that she now limits the amount of time she uses the apps and added that she only checks her Instagram on the weekends.
“When I look at my comments now, when I put up a photo or a video or anything, I know it’s only going to be people that I know are only going to be positive and only going to be encouraging and uplifting,” she explained about limiting her Instagram account settings to those who can see her posts.
Fellow model Chrissy Teigen also quit Twitter earlier this month. In a several-tweet thread to her 14 million followers, Chrissy said goodbye to the social network, writing that her time spent on the site “no longer serves me as positively as it serves me negatively, and I think that’s the right time to call something.”
“Hey. For over 10 years, you guys have been my world. I honestly owe so much to this world we have created here. I truly consider so many of you my actual friends,” she wrote.
