Gwyneth Paltrow’s teenaged daughter, Apple turned 17 in May (only one more year before she can legally change her name!) and Gwenyth has revealed the tradition the two share on the teen’s birthday.
Gwenyth shared on her company, Goop’s Instagram that she and Apple get a new piercing in celebration of Apple’s birthday. Every year.
Gwyneth Paltrow’s Strange Birthday Tradition with Daughter, Apple.
It was not mentioned when this tradition started, it could have been on Apple’s first birthday- with it not being unusual for babies to get their ears pierced so young. Now, of course, everyone wants to know exactly where these piercings are.
The caption was to a photograph, advertising Goop’s new jewelry collection, with a close up of Gwenyth’s ear. Only one piercing was visible, but a different post, still fobbing off her jewelry line, does show two more piercings in the cartilage at the top of her ear. That makes three. Apple is 17.
Either Gwenyth’s other ear is full to the brim, or the photoshopping has painted over the extra holes in this ear. With no facial piercings seen on Gwenyth or Apple’s photos- where are all the holes? Or, perhaps we don’t want to know…especially on an underage child.
Commenters instantly called BS on the post, deciding Gwenyth would “say anything to make a sale” as she hawked the $1400 earrings by making up stories that just don’t check out.
Again, Gwenyth didn’t say when the tradition started, and it is liekly it did not begin until Apple hit her teen years. What kind of person puts a hole in a six year old’s tragus?
Gwyneth also shares a son, Moses, with her ex-husband Chris Martin. We wonder what tradition she shares with 15-year old Moses…a new tattoo each year? Or how about a new luxury car each time? With her earrings selling at $1400 a pop and her vagina candles flying off the shelf- Gwenyth could afford it!
