Gordon Ramsay has been bashed over his TikTok video involving him picking out a lamb to eat.
Vegan’s Outraged By Gordon Ramsay’s Lamb-Slaughter TikTok-‘I Think Gordon Has Finally Lost It’
Gordon may be one of the most successful chefs in the world, but it appears that his latest take on food did not go down very well. In the video here, we can see that Gordon is getting himself inside a pen that is full of lambs.
As Gordon stalks them in order to see which one will end up being slaughtered, he can be heard saying the following: “Yummy yum yum. I’m going to eat you! Which one’s going in the oven first? You! Oven time!”
The video instantly went viral with over 900,000 likes. And yet, that did not go down very well for the following reasons. First of all, a certain subset of critics felt that his actions were in poor taste. And in the process of doing so, this only reinforced the views of those that had become vegetarian or vegan.
Secondly, given that Gordon has fans from the vegan/vegetarian sector, this video did alienate them somewhat. Lastly, in any event, Gordon had recently confirmed that he had been influenced by the Vegan diet. In some prior comments, he remarked: “Sometimes I can be nice to [vegans].”
The fans on social media had a lot to say about Gordon’s video. And in the process of doing so, the comments became rather harsh indeed. One person wrote: “Ok I am not a vegan or vegetarian but that crosses the line.”
While another person stated: “Alright I think Gordon has finally lost it. Someone do something before it’s too late.” Ramsay has yet to respond, which is understandable due to the negative media scrutiny that it would generate.
