The new AI-generated comedy show that attempts to bring her famous father back to life has not pleased George Carlin‘s daughter in the slightest since she feels it is unauthentic.
During a chat on “TMZ Live” Thursday, Kelly Carlin-McCall gave her thoughts on the AI special titled “George Carlin: I’m Glad I’m Dead.” In the program, her father does stand-up comedy in a robotic version that is being marketed as a whole new set.
Kelly claims that even though her dad’s name appears on the AI software, that is where the similarities end. She says the computer just can’t quite recreate the enchantment her father once radiated, and it was unable to mimic his humorous cadence.
George Carlin’s Daughter DESTROYS New AI Special, Lacks The HUMAN Element!
The AI special is available on YouTube, but Kelly makes it clear that money is not the only thing that worries her. George Carlin has a lot of episodes that you can watch for free on streaming services, but Kelly’s main complaint is that the human element that is vital to the work is missing.
The AI system tried to use George’s past jokes as a source of inspiration to mold his views on modern issues including technology, transgender people, Donald Trump, and reality TV. Kelly, though, thinks it’s a heartless undertaking.
The program makes use of the Dudesy AI platform, on which Tom Brady was able to effectively delete his own AI-generated comedy special from the internet. Kelly is thinking of filing a lawsuit and may consult with Tom Brady’s legal counsel.
