Life after death, or anything in the hereafter, is highly speculated upon and subject to one’s own personal beliefs, but we all have to admit that sometimes things happen in our earthly realm that we can’t explain, and a few of these things have happened to the Petito family while they were searching desperately for their daughter.
Gabby Petito’s family, specifically her stepfather, James Schmidt, said in part two of their Dr. Phil interview, that while they were out in Wyoming, searching for Gabby, at one point they had to stop because of the weather, as soon as it let up there was a rainbow across the area, and the rainbow ended exactly in the area where the searchers found her body the next day.

The searchers also observed a Bald Eagle flying around in that area and said that that was a sign that they were going to find her.
Why they said that exactly we don’t know, Schmidt didn’t elaborate on that in particular, and maybe the searchers didn’t either, out of respect for the family, but be it some kind of scientific phenomenon or not, it’s definitely a bit ironic that a bald eagle would be flying over in the same spot that they would find Gabby, and those aren’t the only things that happened.
Ever since then, they said they have seen butterflies everywhere, ironically there was a picture of Gabby, from when she was alive, posing next to a mural that made the person look like they had butterfly wings.
Her Stepmother said that when they got finished at the Northport Press conference, there was a double rainbow in the sky, subsequently, they said on the flight up to New York from Florida, they saw four rainbows, one situated right over where Gabby used to live, her Stepmother said she had never seen a rainbow on a flight before, this time she saw four.
After Gabby was found, her Stepdad said that the day they were doing the autopsy, he couldn’t just sit there so he went out to Gabby’s favorite hiking trails and while he was out there, a chipmunk kept following him around, if you know chipmunks that’s definitely not something they do.
When they were allowed to go out to the place where her body was found, he went out there to lay the stone cross, something that her mother said that she herself couldn’t do. While he was doing this he said a chipmunk came out of its burrow and watched him while he was laying the stones.
Her Dad said at the house they stayed at, there were more chipmunks running around chasing each other, her Stepdad observed, “Maybe that was Gabby.”
A few interesting, yet disturbing details came to light during this part of the conversation. He said that the cross was the place where her body was, and the flowers were placed in the direction that her head lay. What did this mean? We won’t speculate here out of respect for the family but we have to admit that turn of phrasing was a bit… odd.
Then again, who phrases things correctly when describing the violent death of their family member? Another interesting sign was that they saw a Wyoming license plate on the way up with the phrase “GBZ” or “Gabs” which was her Mother’s nickname for her.
So while to some, these may be mere coincidences, or well-timed scientific phenomena, whatever they are, they were taken as signs of comfort by Gabby’s family, we hope that they continue to find it in the days ahead and that both Gabby and them get the justice they deserve. Stay tuned!!!
