There has been reports of Brian Laundrie’s family getting death threats, specifically his sister, Cassie. On the 19th of September there was a call made by the husband of Cassie Laundrie, James Luycx to the police saying that he had been receiving messages from random people all day and that the threats centered around murdering his family and kidnapping his kids.

It’s one thing to take issue with the adults in the case, but the children, whom according to everyone, Gabby loved, didn’t do anything, so people need to leave them out of it. The initial call also stated that they were concerned about what they had seen at Cassie’s parents’ house, but didn’t go into detail about that.

Ever since then, Police have periodically checked in on the family.

On October 1st, there was a call about “suspicious circumstances”, which was a ruled out Brian Laundrie sighting. After that is when Cassie Laundrie and husband James stood on their front lawn to address the protesters out front. She said that they weren’t supposed to talk to anyone, and the protesters were making her children cry.

Crying children aside, all of the false reporting and potential for crime with angry demonstrators outside have really left the case short on manpower for the actual manhunt, according to former FBI Agent Bryanna Fox, in an interview with WFLA News Channel 8. “Anytime there is a death threat, the FBI takes that extremely seriously.”

She went onto say that threats like these will just make the person who’s actually responsible for Gabby’s death that much more difficult to find in the end because of how distracted the force is protecting the family of the alleged perpetrator. As it stands, Brian Laundrie is only charged with bank fraud and is currently only a person of interest in the Gabby Petito case, he is still not the prime suspect, we haven’t found and questioned him yet and do not know what exactly happened.

In this country, it’s still innocent until proven guilty, and let’s face it, the families were not there with Briand and Gabby when it happened so they aren’t responsible. The family needs to be left alone so that the police and FBI can focus their complete attention on the manhunt and actually get real justice, not the vigilante kind. Stay tuned!
