Supporters of the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, are asking Politico to retract their article where Markle was likened to narcissists such as Donald Trump and Kanye West.

In the article titled ‘2022 Is The Year We All Finally Got Tired of the Narcissists,’ Joanna Weiss frankly discussed the Sussexes. Despite recognizing that the royal couple had valid complaints, the article pointed out that their narcissism was significantly less alarming than that of Kanye West, Elon Musk and Donald Trump, but warned that it could become hazardous when it reaches their level.
In her comments at the time, Weiss said: “My natural sympathy for the couple started turning to irritation, and it occurred to me that ego has its limits. And it struck me that the overreach that led to the Sussexes’ critically panned mega-series is the same impulse that turned Elon Musk into a terror on Twitter.”
Despite this being the case, the outlet received a lot of criticism. One such critic was none other than Christopher Bouzy. The former happened to make an appearance in Harry and Meghan’s Netflix docuseries.
So the fact that Meghan has been outspoken against apparent racism she has received, this should not be used as a tool to attack her. And that is how Bouzy saw things. The following comments confirmed as much: “Placing Meghan Markle at the center of criminals and antisemites is not an accident.
“The hate for Meghan is palpable. A woman of color protecting her family and defending herself isn’t narcissism; it’s survival.” The social media response, though, was far from complimentary towards Meghan.
A certain subset of people made it clear that Meghan had no one to blame but herself for the accusations since she had been equally as vocal towards the firm. One person wrote: “Funny how it’s one way Duchess Dolittle can say whatever she likes and her sugars swoon, heaven forbid if anyone stands up to the nasty madam.”
