2023 was a troublesome year for the monarchy. Prince Harry’s “Spare” and Omid Scobie’s “Endgame” caused a conflict between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the royal family.
Prince Harry’s Portrayal of Prince William Was That of a Villian
Royal expert Rebecca English explains that “Prince Harry portrayed his older brother as a villain in “Spare.” She continues, “We thought that it might be the King and Queen who were the villains of the piece, but it actually turned out to be his older brother.”
The major bombshell in “Spare” perpetuated Prince William’s anger toward his brother, as it depicted a fight between the brothers that turned physical.
Prince Harry’s book states that William left him with “visible scrapes” and bruises” after his brother physically injured him. The memoir detailed how Harry landed on the dog’s bowl, which broke as the pieces cut into him.
The fight was about Prince Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle, and how she was bullying the palace aides. Harry and William were so close until his marriage to Meghan.
Rebecca said that the unflattering portrayal of William in Spare has “resulted in radio silence toward Harry.” There is little hope that the brothers can patch things up and be close again.
Spare gave readers a front-row seat to visualize the ugliness between William and Harry. They have not spoken since the book was released.
Harry also claimed that it was William and his wife, Kate Middleton’s idea to wear a Nazi costume to a birthday party near Gloucestershire.
Spare and Endgame Fueled the Royal Rift
He made out his brother to be his mortal enemy, Camilla as the malicious stepmother, and Charles as a psychologically challenged old man.
Spare did a lot of damage because of the rift between the two brothers. It depicted the book’s ” characters ” as corrupt and malicious monsters.
Of course, there is also Omid Scobie’s book, “Endgame.” Scobie deliberately left the names of the “royal racists,” King Charles and Kate Middleton, in the Dutch version of the book.
He blamed the faux pas on the publisher by claiming he had written a note that it wasn’t the “final copy” of the book, which no one believes.
The royal racist row came after alleged “conversations” about what baby Archie would look like and how dark his skin would be when he was born.
Meghan likely cooperated with Scobie to write the book, as she did with Scobie and Carolyn Durand’s, “Finding Freedom.”
It is not necessarily which book caused the most damage, but in what way they did damage. Spare was a ruthless and one-sided accounting of events within the royal family.
The stories in the book were embellished to make Harry’s family look evil. He wanted the publicity and money that resulted from the book.
“Endgame” was written by a glorified twit who was only interested in selling as many books as possible. The book is also very pro-Sussex.
It made the royals come off as archaic and discriminatory predators. But none of it is true.
2023 was very taxing for the royal family. The royals are putting their best foot forward, as everyone is done with Harry and Meghan’s b***s***.
