Kourtney Kardashian Barker has recently had an emergency fetal operation to save her baby. The parents-to-be, Kourtney, and her husband, Travis Barker, did a lot of praying while she was in the hospital, and fortunately, the baby was safe inside Kourtney’s tummy.
Kourtney revealed she is used to having straightforward pregnancies and wasn’t expecting to experience complications. She has three children with a previous husband, Scott Disick: Mason, 13, Penelope, 11, and Reign, 8.
Travis Barker has a son and daughter with his prior spouse, Shanna Moakler: Landon, 19, and Alabama, 17. He also has a stepdaughter.
A Frightening Health Scare
Kourtney recently shared what it was like to go through surgery in an Instagram post.
“As someone who has had three uncomplicated pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery. I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that fear.
I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant,”
Fetal surgical procedures are the surgical treatment of a fetus in the mother’s womb, usually done to rectify any issues that may be too advanced to wait until the baby is born. It helps improve the outcome of the baby’s health.
Kourtney adorably shared the news that she was expecting with her hubby at a Blink-152 concert in which she held a poster up that displayed: “Travis, I’m pregnant.”
It was a wink and nod to Blink-182’s massive 1999 hit, “All the Small Things,” where a fan holds up a sign that says the same thing.
On the Kardashians, Courtney said she wasn’t thrilled about how IVF changed her body. It was extremely taxing on her body, and she shared that it took a long time for her to become comfortable with it.
Travis left his tour to come and be with his pregnant wife during this difficult time. His appearances in Glasgow, Belfast, and Dublin are being postponed. He will return to Europe once he knows that everything has been settled.
Before the surgery, Travis had posted in an Instagram story that he had to rush home from touring due to an “urgent family matter,” which worried fans.

Fans breathed a sigh of relief once they saw that everything worked out and the baby was okay.
Travis and Courtney met in 2006 and became close friends. The two of them were in a relationship for about two years.
The couple became engaged when Travis proposed to his lady love on the beach in Montecito in October 2021.
They tied the knot three times, once in a modest ceremony in Santa Barbara in May 2022 after eloping to Las Vegas first.
However, the Las Vegas wedding wasn’t official. In June, the lovebirds had a lavish wedding in Portofino, Italy.
Travis and Courtney are delighted that the surgery went well and that their baby is safe. They are preparing for the arrival of their new child, and Kourtney is now back home with her kids.
Travis and Courtney are expecting a baby boy. The little bundle of joy is due sometime in October.
