Lori Loughlin might be best known for her role as Aunt Becky on the classic sitcom Full House and the more recent reboot, Fuller House, but little do her fans know that she is actually a former soap star, too! That’s right: Lori – who is currently facing time behind bars for one of the biggest college admission scandals the public has ever seen – played Jody on The Edge of Night.

Here’s What You Don’t Know About Former Soap Star Lori Loughlin

The Edge of Night first debuted in 1956 as a mystery series and soap opera. Lori was a member of the long-running series from 1980 to 1983. The soap revolved around attorney Mike Karr and the different crimes and mysteries that shook the residents of the city of Monticello.

According to new reports, Lori along with her husband Mossimo Giannulli (of Target t-shirt fame), have recently been indicted for apparently bribing college admission administrators to accept their daughters, Olivia and Isabella, into prestigious universities. She is expected to appear at a Los Angeles federal court on Wednesday morning. The actress was shooting a project in Vancouver when authorities showed up at her Los Angeles home. Her husband, Massimo, was arrested but later released after posting a $1 million dollar bail. She is expected to face charges in connection with a college admissions bribery scandal. Many parents supposedly paid millions of dollars to ensure a spot in some of the country’s biggest universities.

And while it doesn’t look like Lori will be making her way back to the soap world – or any television series or sitcom for that matter – her fans and her co-stars are still rallying around her. Lori’s Fuller House co-star John Stamos gave photographers a “no comment” and waved the peace sign when asked about the allegations and scandal in Los Angeles this week.
