Fans Troll Lady Gaga Over Her ‘Boomerang’ Social Media Fail-‘I’ve Been Screaming’
The singer just so happened to be promoting her Haus Labs’ makeup line for Black Friday. And as part of that process, Gaga tried to create a boomerang video. This is where people put together a series of pictures that then plays repeatedly, so that the video will continue on a loop.
In the clip here, we can see that Gaga is showing her makeup as she puts her hair behind her ear. But as she did so, there was a discrepancy between the movements and the video, as the Boomerang failed to deliver.
With that being said, the fans on social media began to mock Gaga’s social media skills. One person wrote: “Lady Gaga, the woman who knows technology well enough to create ultra-sonic EDM sounds and songs + produce full-on albums and make interludes like the ones at Chromatica ball.
“But also the woman who doesn’t know technology well enough to do a boomerang,” while another person stated: “Someone said she put the BOOMER in Boomerang & I’ve been screaming ever since.”
Nevertheless, it is important to bear in mind the following points. First of all, it is not exactly clear who had posted this in the first place. It could have been Gaga, or a member of a social media team. As such, it is possible to argue that fans should reserve judgment, until or if Gaga addresses this.
Secondly, others argued that this was a masterstroke. By getting people to comment on this, It has in some way increased the publicity towards her product. And in the process of doing so, this could lead to more sales.
The following comments confirmed as much: “She’s actually a genius. I’m sure she is sure people will repost the clip everywhere to mock her, but in both of those clips she’s selling a product… and you’re giving her free exposure everywhere.”
