Fans believe that Pete Davidson has shaded Kanye West following a video he shared on his recent return to Instagram.
Fans Suspect Pete Davidson Shaded Kanye West With His Latest Instagram Post-‘Better To Be King For A Night Than Schmuck For A Lifetime’
It is no secret that the pair are not on the best of terms. This was seen when Kanye exchanged a series of verbal shots against the comedian, with reports even stating he was spreading rumours that Pete had aids.
While Pete may have been facing backlash, he has refrained from openly firing back. And yet, it seems that he may have taken an indirect dig.
In his post, Pete had put a link to Rupert Pupkin performing his comedy, as Robert De Niro acts the scene. In the clip, Rupert/De Niro is heard saying the following: “Better to be king for a night than schmuck for a lifetime.”
Although Pete did not refer to Kanye by name, fans were of the view that this had to be the case for the following reasons. First of all, Kanye has often referred to himself as a ‘God’ even going on to say that he is ‘Yeezus.’
Secondly, in any event, Kanye has been heavily bashed for his attacks on Pete, given that the comedian has not stated anything derogatory in response, as of yet.
One fan wrote: “Stand tall Pete, we’ve always loved YOU!!! Much support and lovin the shade…. And reflection in the shades as well.”
While another stated: “Jokes aside, Pete is handling this with class. Ye keeps punching himself.” Pete’s post comes on the back end of Kim Kardashian begging Kanye not to antogonise things by mocking her lover.
She was of the view that things could have gotten out of hand, with overzealous fans acting out of line to defend whoever they sided with. In response to that, Kanye urged his fans to cool off Pete.
He remarked: “UPON MY WIFE’S REQUEST PLEASE NOBODY DO ANYTHING PHYSICAL TO SKETE IM GOING TO HANDLE THE SITUATION MYSELF.”
Only Pete knows what he meant by that post, but if the intention was to shade Kanye, then he certainly achieved his objectives in light of how the fans had reacted to the post.
