Fans have reacted to a previous photo of Prince William that has resurfaced showing him with a beard.

William, for his part, is known for keeping his clean-shaven appearance. In fact, his brother Prince Harry is the one that is often associated with growing facial hair. Naturally, when that picture resurfaced, people had a lot to say on the matter.
In the picture here, we can see that William has a fairly-thick beard that goes with his flat hair. There is the obvious question, therefore, over why he decided to remove it. Well, outside of an alternative explanation to the contrary, it could be explained for the following reasons.
First of all, William is now one of the leading members of the Royal family. As such, there is an expectation on him to look a certain way as evidenced by the other male members of the Royal family including Prince Charles, who is also clean-shaven.
Secondly, in comparison with what he looks like now, William no longer has a full head of hair. As a result, his beard would have been even more pronounced than it would otherwise have been had he adopted it now.
It was not surprising to hear that people had a lot to say on this. And this was reflected in the comments that followed on social media. A certain subset of people felt that William’s beard bore a lot of resemblance to other members of the Royal family.
One person wrote: “Somewhat reminiscent of his great-great- great grandfather, Edward VII.” Meanwhile, others were glad to see the back of the beard. After all, some argued that it was not befitting royalty, as well as adding on a few years to his appearance.
Another user stated: “(please don’t try to bring back the beard because it doesn’t suit him, please god, he looks the best clean shaven, aaaaaa).” It is clear that William’s days of having facial hair are firmly behind him. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this?
