Johnny, for his part, is looking to rebrand himself after the case had damaged his reputation which had subsequently impacted his movie career. And in an attempt to rehabilitate his image, he has been on tour in the UK with musician Jeff Beck.
It soon became pretty clear that Depp was as popular as ever, as shown by the huge amount of fans that came out to see him. That is why Depp’s TikTok move could prove to be a stroke of genius.
And by the looks of it, this has already had a huge impact. As of now, he has gained close to three million followers. And if things continue to increase at this rate, he may become one of the most popular TikTokers out there.
It is not exactly clear what type of content Depp is going to post, but if his latest actions are anything to go by, then it could indicate potential music shows. Not only that, but if his movie career does not hit the heights of what it once was, then Depp will have an alternative at being a social media star nonetheless.
The latter point has already begun to materialise, given the positive nature of the comments on social media. A significant proportion of fans were ecstatic that Depp had joined the social media platform.
