Emily Ratajkowski has blasted those who have criticised her parenting in response to some hate comments that she has been receiving on social media.

The model, who recently gave birth to her son Sylvester, has been enjoying the challenges of motherhood. This has been seen through her activity on Instagram, where she has been very open about the changes her body has been going through as a result of breastfeeding.

While motherhood should be a time of happiness and rejoicing, Emily had to take some time out in order to set her haters straight. In a post to her fans on Instagram, Emily shared a picture of herself in a car with some sunglasses on. In her comments, she used Britney Spears as an example of what can happen to people if hateful comments are allowed to go unregulated.

Her post was captioned by the following comments: “We are all reflecting back on shaming Britney and calling her a bad mom. We talk about how we have to ‘do better’ as a culture. Meanwhile, my comments are filled with awful remarks about how I don’t deserve to be a mom. Shame on you all.”

So when did the criticism start? Well, rather quickly as it seems. Only a month after the birth, Emily decided to share some photos of herself holding her baby in one arm, while she was showing off her and his matching swimming gear.

Although she was keen to show her joy at the prospect of dressing her son well, her critics began to become vocal on what they thought to be a lack of safety on Emily’s part. After all, she was holding her son in one arm and anything could have happened.

In response, Emily told her users just how she felt. She added: “I don’t care if you hate me or hate celebrity (or just hate women) but it’s incredibly scary to become a parent and no one deserves to be told by strangers that they’re a s–tty mother.”

Let us hope Emily can put this behind her and get back to what she wants to do. That is to become the best mother she can possibly be.
