When Elon Musk unexpectedly walked onto the stage during the course of a Dave Chappelle show in San Francisco, he was received with a loud round of jeers.

Chappelle was at the Chase Center in a double-act with Chris Rock, and he presented Musk to the audience as the wealthiest man alive. When Musk came onto the stage wearing a t-shirt that said ‘I love Twitter’, the clapping was overwhelmed by jeers and boos, and he stood beside the comic in an awkward manner.
A video was shared on Twitter showing a mortifying incident for Musk, who has come under fire ever since he took over Twitter. Shortly after the video was circulated, the account that posted it unexpectedly vanished from the website.
The wealthy entrepreneur seemed to be taken aback by the unfriendly response, and said very little while on stage, prompting the stand-up comic to ask questions. “What should I say,” to which Chapelle replied: “It sounds like some of the people you fired are in the audience.”
Audience members loudly expressed their disapproval as Musk was on stage, yet the experienced stand-up comedian continued to tell jokes. Musk requested the comedian to create a Twitter account, as he proceeds with the changes he recently made to the social media website that he acquired.
With that being said, Musk thanked Chapelle for his support. He added: “Thanks for having me on stage.” The fans on social media had a lot to say about the matter. A certain subset of people felt Elon had no one to blame but himself for the reaction.
This was on the grounds that they did not believe he would live up to his promise of promoting freedom of speech. One person wrote: “Lol, Elon musk is no different than Jack Dorsey. They will ban any account that goes against their narrative.”
