Ellie Goulding has welcomed the arrival of her newborn alongside her husband, Caspar Jopling.

In a post to his fans on Instagram, Caspar shared a picture of a bouquet of flowers in order to mark a new start. The post was captioned by the following comments: “Mum and baby both happy and healthy. Extremely grateful. … During this magical and personal moment, we would really appreciate being able to enjoy our privacy. Thank you!” It has been a rollercoaster of a ride for Ellie in recent times.
It was her first pregnancy, which meant that she had no idea on what to expect. Not only that, the news was a bit of a surprise as she did not expect to be pregnant so soon. In a previous interview with British Vogue, Ellie expressed how she found out about it all. She stated: “Caspar and I went away briefly when we were allowed to for our one-year anniversary, and that’s basically when we found out.
“It was crazy because it was our one-year anniversary. That was not the plan.” That did not mean she was not happy, though. In fact, nothing could be further from the truth. She struck a friendship with royalty, as the singer became very close with Princess Eugenie. The latter was also expecting a child, near the same time, and they lent on each other for support.
And ultimately, the birth completed a long-time dream that Eliie had imagined. She added: “The thought of getting pregnant didn’t seem like it could be a reality. Becoming pregnant kind of made me feel human…I’m enjoying it. My husband’s enjoying it.” With the birth going smoothly, she will take some deserved time off to recover.
Her singing career has been put on the back burner for now, but she has every intention of making a big comeback. She has even suggested that she may bring her baby on tour. She noted: “I’m excited to be a mother — but also I want to make sure that I continue to work. I can’t wait to go back on tour.” It is great to see the couple being so happy, and long may that continue.
