El Final del Paraíso spoilers reveal that Catalina Santana (Carmen Villalobos) surprised us on the Tuesday, Octboer 29th episode. She has never been the smartest.  In Sin Senos No Hay Paraiso (Without breasts, there is no paradise) she  couldn’t even work a cell phone. She didn’t understand money conversion, even after having it explained several times. She’s continued to be a less-than-stellar agent when she returned from the alleged dead 20 years later. But she might have turned a corner. Here’s what you need to know.

El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Epic fail

This season has not been good to her. The only successful operations she’s run so far were orchestrated to be by Yésica “La Diabla” Beltrán (Kimberly Reyes), who’s posing as Agent Valeria Montes after a face transplant. She’s failed to catch on to Diabla’s secret identity, even though more than one person is looking at “Valeria” side-eyed. She fails to recognize the almost identical mannerisms that Lucrecia Olivares (Eliana Diaosa) pointed out, and only doubted her after the shooting of Dayana “La Demonia” Muriel (Elianis Garrido). Is it any wonder that the bad guys are having free reign?

El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Waking up?

The latest episode brought an unfamiliar Catalina into the picture. Well, at least one we haven’t seen since Season 2 when she got tough on Mariana Sanín Santana (Stephania Duque) following the discovery of racy pictures on her daughter’s phone. This time, it was her son, Sebastian Sanín Santana (Carlos Báez) who earned some tough love. Enraged by the idea her son was caught under the influence by Santiago Sanin, Cata Grande confronted him. She refused to buy into any explanations or lies, giving him five minutes to admit what she already knows, plus tell her what he took. When he failed to do so, she dragged him and Alexander Mondejo (Pedro Calvo) to the DEA offices. She forced them both to undergo drug tests, confirming what Santiago said. She’s devastated, however, to learn that Sebas wasn’t playing around. He had taken a highly addictive drug that make her worry that he is about to follow his sister to the narco side.

She and Santiago talk about the situation on the phone, and she vows that she is going to do anything possible to keep Sebas from going down the wrong path. This is a far cry from her ultimately softer approach with Mariana following their arrival in Colombia.

El Final del Paraiso spoilers: On task

Even more surprising is, she seemed to be able to multi-task, despite her child drama. She remembered to ask about the Catalina Marín Santana (Carolina Gaitán) and Hernán Darío Bayona (Juan Pablo Urrego) search, she jumps right into setting up a fake profile to worm her way into the underground fights, and she’s even getting involved in the Esteban Calvo (Manuel Gómez)  situation. We’re not used to seeing her do more than one thing at a time. She even was efficient enough to get protection for her mother, Doña Hilda Santana (Catherine Siachoque), who is currently being targeted by Joana Andrade (Bárbara Najas). We’re liking this return to form, but we’re not hopeful of it being a long-lasting thing.

She’s a recent Days of Our Lives convert, having grown up on the nighttime shows of the '90s. She’s also an accomplished writer in many fields, including paranormal fiction. Jamie loves the crazy twists that Soap Opera writers come up with, even though she's sometimes yelling at the characters. As a published and accomplished writer, she knows how to get into the minds of the writers and is usually bang on in predicting plot twists before they come to life. When she’s not writing for Daily Soap Dish, Jamie binge watches telenovelas as a way to improve her Spanish. They also fuel her muse, which tends to upset her readers.
