El Final del Paraíso spoilers reveal that the end is near. Fans of the show were surprised to learn that the show was ending this season, despite the name change. Handlers of the official account said this was the beginning of a new era only. Whether some spin-off series comes to fruition, we’ve yet to see. However, we do know that the series in its current form will end December 9th. But is there a really out-there ending ahead? Here’s what you need to know.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: The culminating chapter
This final etapa culminante is promising some huge events to come. Recent promos tease what fans have been waiting for since Catalina Santana (Carmen Villalobos) turned up alive after her failed suicide by assassin. In the clips, we see Cata Grande and her friend-turned-enemy Yésica “La Diabla” Beltrán (Kimberly Reyes) about to have a long-awaited final confrontation. Looks like that war will finally have a victor. Then, there are the many plot threads to tie up, including a huge move by Alex Mondego (Pedro Calvo) against Diabla and President Alfonso Berrio (Leonardo Acosta). We’re also sure to see a victor in the war of Cata Grande’s exes, as well as the ultimate fate of Cata Grande’s family, especially her children.

In the Friday, November 22nd episode, Cata Grade got a horrible reality check. Her daughter, Mariana Sanín Santana (Stephania Duque) set a bomb in motion that puts not just president at risk, but Mariana’s father, Cata Grande’s allies, and a bunch of senior citizens. Mariana’s act might have killed any hope Cata Grande had of saving her daughter. In a season filled with Cata Grande desperately trying to hold on to her child, this must be a terrible blow. Especially considering her son, Sebastian Sanín Santana (Carlos Báez) recently chose his evil boyfriend, Alex, instead of staying put. The twists have been insane, but is there an even bigger one afoot?
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Plot twist?
In Sin Senos No Hay Paraiso (Without breasts, there’s no paradise), Cata Grande was on a mission. She wanted to escape poverty in a couple of ways. First, by getting implants and being the woman of a narco. Then, she set her sights on using bigger boobs for another purpose: becoming a famous actress. This mission led her to some dark places. It also brought lots of tragedy. In the end, Cata Grande was alone and miserable. Her fury at Diabla, who took her narco, soon turned toward herself and the empty promise of Paraíso. With her mother pregnant by her ex (and her brother dead), she changed her mind about having Diabla killed. Instead, she dressed up like her and took the bullet herself. But did she really recover?

El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Fan theory/proof
A fan theory says Cata Grande didn’t come back from the brink. Instead, she’s been in a coma all these years, the events of the series nothing but her coma-induced dream. We remember seeing this a long time ago, but it came up again with the series about to end. We think this theory has a lot of merit, and here’s why.
First, we’ve mentioned that a lot of details changed between the 2008 season and the 2016 continuation series. Last names and years changed, as well as the critical scene where Cata Grande was shot in No Hay. In the original, Cata Grande called off her meeting with Diabla. While Cata Grande was taking a bullet, Diabla was busy enjoying Marcial’s money. She’s nowhere near the scene of the shooting. In Sin Senos Sí Hay Paraíso (Without breasts, there is paradise), Diabla arrived in time to see her former friend dressed like her in a puddle of blood. There are other inconsistencies as well. The Julieta situation, the other chicas still working the clubs despite having given that up for food stands, Cata Grande’s sudden half-sister that was never mentioned, and a more complex inconsistent history between the chicas. Particularly between her and Diabla. There’s also Diabla’s strange fascination with Albeiro Marín (Fabián Ríos), a guy she never looked twice at.
Another big piece of the puzzle is Diabla herself. She’d once hated the way Cata Grande treated Marcial Barrera (César Mora), leading to her ultimate betrayal of Cata Grande. So, why would Diabla suddenly turn him in to the DEA? In addition, Marcial was a retired dealer in No Hay, not exactly involved in the business like it seemed in Si Hay. Second, she had moments of wickedness, but she was nowhere near the cold-hearted evil mastermind she is now. She even stood up to dealers that wanted to use girls to unwittingly bring drugs to other countries. Only when threatened with death did she supply anyone. And she made sure not to let them use Cata Grande for their drug implants scheme.
Finally, there’s all the insanity of later seasons. Like the cannibal DEA agent. Going back and forth from DEA to TEA, then back to DEA. There’s the ghost town plot of season three, as well as the brujeria and curses. There’s also the randomness that was the cannibal resolution, Cata Grande getting her pushing-40 friends on to a DEA team, and lots of dream sequences. Plus, there’s another detail. Early on, we’re pretty sure they said Mauricio Cardona (Danilo Santos), the narco who made Cata Grande his woman, was still in jail. They also hinted he’d be getting out. But later on in the season, it’s all but said he died. Inconsistent writing, or the randomness of a comatose mind? You be the judge.
