El Final del Paraíso spoilers (End of Paradise) indicate that the new season of the popular franchise has a premiere date. The series, which according to promos will follow Catalina Santana (Carmen Villalobos) as she tries to take down the Cartel de los Babies (yes, we’re cringing over that name, too). The cartel, led by her former friend/enemy Yésica “La Diabla” Beltrán (Kimberly Reyes), also counts Catalina’s daughter, Mariana Sanín (Stephania Duque), as a top member. Here’s what you need to know.

El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Just around the corner

El Final del Paraíso will premiere on Telemundo Tuesday, August 13th at 9 PM Eastern. Fans are anxious to see how Catalina will deal with not only having to go after her own daughter, but how she’ll survive her former friend. The fan-favorite antagonist, formerly played by Majida Issa, was recently recast following the actress’ exit. Instead of ignoring the new face, the show used the change as a plot point. New actress Reyes started as a woman Diabla has kidnapped in order to steal her face following a disfiguring attack. In last season’s finale, the new Diabla is revealed to be working as Catalina’s bodyguard in the TEA under an assumed name.

El Final del Paraíso spoilers: The counterattack

With Telemundo sitting near the top of the ratings for a while now, especially with the recent success of La Reina del Sur, Unvision is striking back with some genius counter programming. The same night and time will see Univision premiere El corazón nunca se equivoca (The heart’s never wrong).

The 26-episode series is a spinoff of the popular Mi marido tiene más familia (My husband has more family) about an adopted man who finds his birth family. The dramady has run for two seasons, although it’s unknown if the show will continue again at some point. El corazón will follow the journey of fan-favorite couple #Aristemo, Aristóteles Córcega (Emilio Osorio) and Cuauhtémoc “Temo” López (Joaquín Bondoni) as they build a new life in Mexico City. Each will be following their respective dreams and dealing with the judgements of a conservative society.

El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Prediction

Despite the popularity of Mi Marido, our bets are on Paraíso. Telemundo is on a roll lately with the succes of La Reina del Sur and Paraíso has come out on top before when they went head-to-head. There are a couple other reasons for our prediction. One, it’s got more mainstream buzz than El corazón. Two, Univision has had a shaky track record of cutting short/moving shows, which has led to fan discontent online. While we don’t expect El corazón to beat Paraíso, Univision might at least give them a good fight for a few weeks—assuming they let the series play out.
