It was revealed last week that Mick Carter has made the decision to sell the famous soap pub after his wife continues to battle against her addiction with alcohol. Linda will have less chance of drinking again if she isn’t surrounded by alcohol. Mick made the decision after Linda started drinking again last week. He realised that their lives wouldn’t be able to move forward while they are owning the pub, and he decided that it was best for their family to sell.

EastEnders fans believe that they have worked out who the new owner is after a cryptic comment from Sharon in last week’s episode. Viewers watched on in disbelief as Sharon Mitchell and Phil kissed just hours after she tried to attack him. But, in the midst of their romantic evening, Sharon said that the happiest years of her life were spent in the Queen Vic.
Viewers have quickly put two and two together and worked out that she could use owning the Queen Vic as a way to get over the death of Dennis Rickman. Fans have already seen that she is trying to do everything she can to get over the death of her oldest, as she has recently given away baby Jayden to Karen Taylor.

Sharon Mitchell is considered by many as the new front runner as the next owner, but the door is still open for another shocking return. Linda and Mick have recently got the bar valued, and fans think that a famous returning character could instead jump at the chance of taking over at the famous pub.
It was reported recently that Alfie Moon could return to Walford. Fans would certainly be excited by his return, and it would certainly upset the balance in Walford; especially with Kat Slater. However, no official announcement has yet been made so viewers will have to continue watching to see how it plays out.
