Eastenders spoilers tease that Ben Mitchell will soon be returning home, but unfortunately he’s not the same lad that he was before he left Walford. As a matter of fact, actor Max Bowden recently said that his character is going to show a different side to his character in the coming weeks, much to the surprise of the Mitchell family. Phil Mitchell’s son will manage to surprise everyone by returning home to Walford after he left last year in one of the biggest scandals that the family has seen. He left Britain and fled abroad with part of his stolen heist money.

According to Express.co.uk, fans will be surprised to see Ben act very strangely when he returns home. He told the publication, “He’s coming back with a slightly broodier sense of self. He’s more aware of who he is, and he’s quite content with who he is. But he still wants to be more. Everything that’s happened to him in the past is affecting him now. I think he’s certainly darker; he’s potentially looking at Phil as an idol. So I suppose there are resemblances.”
As many Eastenders fans can recall, Ben was responsible for the death of Heather Trott (Cheryl Ferguson). He hit her in the head with a photo frame, however, he didn’t mean to kill her. He also had a troubling childhood and was even abused by his father’s girlfriend, Stella Crawford (Sophie Thompson). As much as Max has tried to turn his life around, nothing has worked in his favor.
