EastEnders spoilers relate that there’s a good reason why so many people call it the best soap drama in Great Britain right now. The cast of Eastenders has bene praised for a powerful episode that depicted a near suicide for Sean Slater. Fans of the highly-rated BBC soap have taken to their social media accounts to praise the soap for its powerful delivery on what many people are calling a distressing storyline.
EastEnders Spoilers: Fans React After Emotional Scenes, Praise Actors For Powerful Episode
During one scene in an episode last week, Sean can be seen holding a gun in his hands as his poor mother Jean watched on helplessly. This was followed by Stacy and a team of paramedics rushing to the scene. Once they arrive, they find Sean on the verge of turning his shotgun against himself at a remote house. During this same time, Jean was gently talking to her son as she did her best to convince him not to take his own life.
Jean, who is also suffering from cancer, told her son that he needs to forgive himself for everything that he’s done in the past. She said, “Whatever you’re feeling right now, it will pass.”
A lot of viewers took to their social media accounts to praise actors Robert Kazinsky, Gillian Wright and Lacey Turner on a job well done. A lot of the fans expressed their appreciation of the episode and the cast’s work in raising important issues in regards to mental health. Some comments included, “Omg what an emotional heart warming episode of EastEnders Gillian Wright Robert Kazinsky and Lacey Turner were all amazing,” along with, “Wow – just caught up with #Eastenders ! Powerful stuff tonight without all the shouting & screaming.”
Another fan wrote, “That EastEnders episode is why it’ll always be my favorite soap.”
