Peta Murgatroyd was understandably going through a lot, as she pleaded for her husband, Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s safe return from Ukraine amid the Russian war.
DWTS: Peta Murgatroyd Prays For Her Husband Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s Safe Return From Ukraine
Maksim, for his part, was in the country by virtue of the fact that he is a judge on the hit TV show ‘Dancing with the Stars.’
While he may have been there on work-related duties, the very fact of the matter is that the majority of his family is based in the country.
As such, given that he is now stuck there, it has been very difficult for him to reconcile what has been going on, knowing that his wife is not there, as well as the fact that unlike his countrymen in Ukraine, he is fortunate enough to have another passport.
But for Peta, she wants her husband back as soon as possible since they do have a 5-year-old son together. In a post to her fans on Instagram, she said: “Please pray for my husband Maks.
“I don’t usually ask these things from my social media network, however today is extremely hard and the next few will be even harder.” As of now, by all accounts, Masksim is not in any imminent danger.
However, by being absent from his wife, it has inadvertently led to the situation where she is struggling to cope. And she made no secret over how this whole ordeal has had a negative impact on her mental health.
And yet, she is trying to hold herself together for the sake of her child, as well as her husband. She added: “My pain is overwhelming and I’m struggling.
“But you sending your positive light and love to him would mean the world to me. Truly, I wish for nothing more.” The social media response was one of heartbreak.
Large numbers of fans expressed sympathy over what Peta was going through. One person wrote: “Prayers for his safe to return home.” Hopefully, Maksim is able to make it home in one piece.
And the sooner that this conflict is over, the better it is for everyone. After all, Peta is just one of a number of people that will be going through a similar thing.
