“The Bachelor” alum Joey Graziadei recently opened up about his initial reluctance to join the cast of “Dancing with the Stars,” revealing that it took some convincing from his fellow Bachelor Nation members to push him onto the dance floor.
During a recent appearance on the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast alongside his fiancée Kelsey Anderson, Graziadei admitted that he was initially hesitant to participate in the competition. “I didn’t see myself joining the show,” he confessed. “I needed some convincing from someone within Bachelor Nation.”

That someone, as it turned out, was his co-host on the podcast, Joe Amabile. Amabile, a fellow “Bachelor” alum and former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant himself, encouraged Graziadei to embrace the challenge.
“I was worried about how it was going to be and if I was going to be even able to perform and enjoy it,” Graziadei shared. “I was worried about putting myself out there.”
Graziadei also sought advice from another “Bachelor” alum, Charity Lawson, who had previously competed on Season 32 of “Dancing with the Stars” and reached the finale. Charity reassured Graziadei that it was the best decision of her life, providing him with the confidence boost he needed to take the plunge.
Despite his initial reservations, Graziadei not only embraced the challenge but also excelled, ultimately winning the coveted Mirrorball Trophy. Reflecting on his journey, he acknowledged the transformative impact of the experience, stating, “I fell in love with dancing.”
Looking ahead, Graziadei will continue his dance journey by joining the 2025 “Dancing with the Stars” Tour, which kicks off on Thursday, January 16th.
