Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has revealed that he has no intention of making a run for presidency.

The United States presidency is arguably one of the toughest jobs in the world. And yet, actors have managed to make a go at it, as shown most notably through Ronald Reagan.
While that may have been the case, the Rock is quite comfortable with his acting career which has generated him a lot of success. In addition, Johnson has three children: Simone, Jasmine and Tiana. And that is where his focus is currently at, something which the Presidency would take away.
During an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Dwayne said: “I know what it was like to be on the road and be so busy that I was absent for a lot of years for my first daughter’s growing up, [at] this critical age at this critical time in her life.
“And that’s what the presidency will do. Sure, CEO sounds great, but the No. 1 thing I want to be is daddy. That’s it.” Nevertheless, there was a moment where the Rock was considering entering the political realm.
In 2016, he spoke about the importance of the need for better leadership. At the time the United States was quite divided following the inauguration of former President Donald Trump.
Although nothing ended up materialising, the fact of the matter is that Dwayne was not shy in expressing what he wanted for America. In his comments at the time, he stated: “I feel like one of the qualities of a great leader is not shutting people out. I miss that part. Even if we disagree, we’ve got to figure it out.”
One entertainer who may consider running once again is none other than Kanye West. He has teased the possibility of doing so by sharing a picture of a baseball cap with the word, ‘2024.’ And as he has already had experience, Kanye may be the person to do it if Dwayne is not so keen.
