According to The Hollywood Reporter, the famed bounty hunter Boba Fett will make an appearance in Disney+’s ‘The Mandalorian’ season two! Temuera Morrison famously played Jango Fett, the father of Boba Fett in 2002’s ‘Star Wars: Attack of the Clones’. Recently, he portrayed Jason Momoa’s father in 2018’s ‘Aquaman’.
Their sources say that Morrison will play Boba Fett, the famed bounty hunter who first appeared in 1980’s ‘Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back’ and who famously fell into the sarlacc pit in 1983’s ‘Star Wars: Return of the Jedi’.
With ‘The Mandalorian’ taking place about five years about ‘Star Wars: Return of the Jedi’, this seemingly proves that the bounty hunter did indeed survive and make his way out of the sarlacc pit! This is awesome and exciting news for any ‘Star Wars’ fans and will hopefully cement Boba’s legacy as the ultimate bounty hunter.
Disney+’s ‘The Mandalorian’ Gets Temuera Morrison To Play Boba Fett! – His First Return To The ‘Star Wars’ Universe Since 2002
Boba Fett is expected to be a small role in the series after he was teased about in an episode ‘The Gunslinger’ from season one when a mysterious figure sporting the bounty hunter’s trademark appeared on screen for a few seconds.
In ‘Star Wars: Attack of the Clones’, the storyline revolved around the discovery of an army of clones. These clones were copies of Jango Fett (Temuera Morrison) and it was revealed that fan-favorite Boba was actually another clone of Jango being raised as his own son. This adds to the excitement of Morrison returning to the franchise to play his own son, while also playing the infamous Boba!
‘The Mandalorian’ season two and slated to release in October on Disney+. It will also feature actors Micheal Biehn (Alien, Terminator) and feature director Robert Rodriquez (Spy Kids, Alita: Battle Angel)!
This is an exciting time to be a ‘Star Wars’ fan!
