Gina Carano, actress and MMA star stirred quite the pot early this morning when she added her “preferred pronouns” to her Twitter name. This came after months of harassment online because she didn’t put her pronouns in her bio. To make a point on her page, she added “boop/bop/beep” as her pronouns to combat back against the harassment.

To mock her attackers, she shared a GIF of Val Kilmer from ‘Tombstone’ saying, “There… now we can be friends.”

In a reply to @JoeTalkShow, Carano said,

“They’re mad cuz I won’t put pronouns in my bio to show my support for trans lives. After months of harassing me in every way. I decided to put 3 VERY controversial words in my bio.. beep/bop/boop. I’m not against trans lives at all. They need to find less abusive representation.”

Rather than Carano bend to the bullying of online hate, she chose to reject the pressure and force to change her bio. Carano has a history of confronting bullies like this online as well. She has had a staunch defense against cancel culture and forcing your ideals upon other people.

In today’s world, it seems that Carano is done the right thing by not giving into harassment and bullying, and her decision to tease her abusers has made quite the stir on Twitter. It seems that this joke and teasing as a way to confront her attackers has added fuel to the fire as she continues to get attacked online.
