We now know that Diddy was one of the investors who assisted Elon Musk in purchasing the Twitter app, and that he thus played a covert part in Elon’s acquisition of Twitter. According to sources close to Diddy, the music and fashion tycoon spent more than $10 million on the social media platform.

Recall that Elon purchased Twitter last month for $44 billion with the aid of high-net-worth investors and loans from Wall Street banks.  Arabian Prince Alwaleed bin Talal and Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey are reportedly among those investors.

Regarding Diddy‘s eight-figure investment, we’re informed that his approach is always to have a place at the table and be represented. Diddy and the other Twitter investors of Elon share his idea for the bird app. Regarding the nature of that vision, our sources stay mute.

Diddy and Elon have been interacting frequently this year. They both watched Dave Chappelle’s performance at the Hollywood Bowl in May, where an assailant ran on stage and attacked Dave. At Kanye West’s Donda 2 experience in February, Diddy, Elon, French Montana, and Rick Ross were among the famous people hanging there.

In other Diddy business news, the WSJ reports that he plans to spend up to $185 million to purchase cannabis businesses in NY and two other states. This move will reportedly result in the creation of the largest black-owned corporation in the history of the globe. Today is Diddy’s 53rd birthday, so it will be fascinating to see if Elon sends him birthday wishes.
