When Geoffrey proposed to Varya, she was a little unsure of what to say. She told him that she wasn’t ready yet to get married. He took this as a way to dump him, but she wanted to give him another chance. Geoffrey flew home and felt that the two of them were over for good. That’s why, three months later, he decided to move on.

Varya decided to set the record straight on some things. The producers of the show knew that Varya was coming and they also knew that Geoffrey had gone on a date with Mary. What they didn’t know was that she ended up staying at his house after many drinks. He didn’t want her to drive home. She said that this was one of the hardest things that she has ever done. She was very anxious when she got to his house. “I’m obviously not that good on surprising,” she said.
Geoffrey has gotten a lot of backlash for going on a date with Mary so soon after his relationship with Varya ended. His followers slammed him saying, “I can understand that you were hurt that she said ‘not yet’ to your proposal, but not yet didn’t mean ‘never.’ It just meant that she needed more time.” He replied back, “To each his own. My expectations were not met just as hers apparently weren’t either.”
Interestingly enough, Varya never said anything about the expectations that she had of Geoffrey. She just said she thought that they were moving too fast and wanted to slow things down a little bit. When Varya showed up, Geoffrey was shocked and he told cameras that he still has feelings for her and wants to see where things go.
He ended up taking Varya out for drinks with his friends. It gets a little awkward when he tells them that she showed up when Mary was on his couch! She did end up having a good time with them and Geoffrey did say that he would let her stay with him for the next two weeks. We will see what happens next week on TLC.
