Of course by now everyone has heard about the Amber Heard vs. Johnny Depp defamation case and how he is suing her for $50M, and she is suing him for $100M. Amber Heard alleges abuse at the hands of Johnny Depp, and claims that she had to use a certain makeup product in order to hide the bruises so that they wouldnt be seen by the public.
The thing is, the claims of abuse that she alleges happened between the years of 2013-2016 and it would seem that this makeup product was not being sold by this company until 2017, a year after she and Depp ended their relationship.
Makeup brand ‘corrects’ Amber Heard’s testimony
The product in question is Milani’s All-In-One Correcting Kit which has a bunch of colors that one mixes together in order to get the right shade of concealer and Heard’s lawyer alleges that she had to continually mix the colors every day in order for her bruises not to be seen by the public.
Okay, but the fact of the matter is the product was not being sold at the time that the alleged abuse happened, so, did Heard hop a time machine to go get a single makeup product or could it be that she’s just pulling stories out of thin air? Because makeup companies, especially not drugstore brands, don’t generally do early releases – not even to celebrity clientele. They have to wait with the rest of the public. (Milani is a mid-priced, drugstore brand.)
Could Heard simply be remembering the product wrong? There is a chance of that, because at the time when the alleged abuse happened there were several almost identical products on the market out there that did have an almost identical compact and did have almost identical shades, it is concealer, after all.
It’s surprising that she would misremember, after all, if it did its job as well as she says it did there would potentially be a lot of women standing in line for it (it is no longer sold on the company website but can be bought for resale at around $25). Still, one has to wonder… drugstore makeup? For the wife of Johnny Depp? Well, maybe the product is just that good, if that’s actually the real story. Stay tuned!!!
