Fans took things to the next level to show their support for Johnny Depp in his case against Amber Heard by turning up to court with a Pirates-of-the-Caribbean-themed ship.
Fans Support Johnny Depp By Bringing A Pirates-Of-The-Caribbean-Themed Ship Outside Court
The jury are currently deliberating the outcome of the case, which clearly has a lot on the line. Whichever party ends up losing will have to live with the fact that they have not only had their reputation damaged, but been proven guilty in a court of public opinion.
Although that may be the case, there is no denying that the whole trial has turned into a soap opera. And this was shown none more so than by the following images. In the pictures here, we can see that this ship has been brought outside the courthouse on a tow truck.
Johnny’s character of Jack Sparrow is visible on it, and this is another attempt by his fans to show just how much they are backing him. This is not the first time the fans have done a gesture like this, though.
Prior to the ship, one fan of Johnny’s had also bought a pair of alpacas outside the courtroom. This was in response to Johnny’s comments in the trial in which he confirmed that he would never work for Disney again even if they had given him 1 million alpacas.
And as that became a running joke throughout the trial, a pair of alpacas were brought outside the courtroom which created a massive buzz. So much so that Johnny’s legal team decided to take selfies with them.
Despite Johnny having support, a certain subset of fans found that such gestures were not going to help the actor. This was on the basis that it may cloud the jury’s judgment. One person wrote: “Bad idea, folks. Sends the wrong message to the jury.
“Show your support for Johnny Depp in a way that reinforces that he was the victim.” So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
